Approach:
Riya’s approach to physiotherapy revolves around personalised, patient-centered care. She begins with a comprehensive assessment, including past medical history, lifestyle, and activity levels, to fully understand the patient’s health concerns. Her assessments also focus on the integrity of musculoskeletal and neurological systems, movement patterns, biomechanics, and the patient’s strengths and weaknesses.
Based on her findings, Riya tailors her treatment plans using various techniques, including exercise prescription, manual therapy, dry needling, and kinesio-taping. Her treatment philosophy is built on three core pillars: education and advice, targeted exercise plans, and hands-on techniques. Each patient’s care is individually tailored to ensure optimal recovery, improved mobility, and enhanced strength, with an overall goal of restoring function and helping the patient achieve their personal health and fitness objectives.
As a physiotherapist, Riya emphasises the importance of an integrated approach and believes that understanding the whole person is essential for delivering effective care.
